Hi, my name is Sherri McMahon, the face behind McMahon Fiber, thanks for taking the time to stop by.

My husband Joe and I live in Pennsylvania. I love to knit, and then discovered the art of spinning.

We live on a small farm so it was only natural for me to create my own fiber sources. That was when I started my rabbitry, McMahon Rabbitry. I decided on Giant Angora Rabbits to start. They are called gentle giants with good reason, and are also very good woolers. The bunnies enable me to produce fiber in the colors and styles that I like. We also have angora goats which produce mohair, they are all white wethers and are a great addition to my spinning flock. We recently added a Dorset lamb to our flock - her fiber is creamy white and springy - mixes great with the mohair.

My art degree has proved very helpful in choosing colors for creating yarns. I have been involved in the art field in one form or another such as graphic design, painting and stained glass for many years, fiber arts seems a natural next step for me.
